I know that many of you have been waiting to see this video.
And I adore this couple they are just the sweetest! This video took us a while to edit. This was a BEAR of a lipoma... Initially I thought it maybe, just maybe would pop out almost whole... But it wasn't meant to be - too many fibrous connections keeping it attached to him.
Watch part two to see how it all turned out, but Part 2 is more graphic than Part 1. I decided to divide it this way so those of you that prefer to avoid the graphic details of surgery will be spared. However, at the end of Part 2 you can see what the area looks like about a month after the procedure. You may want to check that out!
Needless to say, this was a very frustrating surgery, I didn't want to create a scar line that spanned his entire upper back but I wanted to reduce the size of this lipoma as much as possible and as safely as possible. I didn't get the area completely flat, but it does look much better and most importantly, I believe the patient is pleased. He sent me a pic and the nicest message about a month after this surgery when he was back at home, I think in London, or it looks more like Jamaica to me! He said that he is doing well, and the only thing he misses about his lipoma was his "built-in pillow", but he uses his wife for that now... ;)

it's my first time try to make a stop-motion animation.
I used to be a senior student majoring in commercial design who had no interest whatsoever in animation. However, last summer I saw a amazing work "SNASK" (http://vimeo.com/10435821) , which awakened in me a huge interest in Stop-Motion. This was also my very first encounter towards videos.
Indeed, "Coffee Time" was adapted from Mike Crozier's animation "SNASK", I used that as a template for my own first practice video made with stop-motion. I tried to recreate the effects from "SNASK" (http://vimeo.com/10435821) , and I learned so much from this process. At the end of the video, I mixed in an animation containing my personal favorite coffee elements.
It's not apply to any commercial act. It only served as my first practice of stop-motion, and I show great appreciation and respect for Mike Crozier. The original producer was notified prior to the publishing of the video. My initial intention was to humbly share my practicing result with relatives and friends. But now the consequence was totally out of my expectation. I am greatly honored by all the feedback and encouragement, which I am deeply appreciative of.
I hope that everyone can put more emphasis on the processing. For me, a heart-touching film is like a good mentor, exerting much influence. And "SNASK" is just like a mother to me, bearing the interests for stop-motion, and inspiring me with the motive of learning. All the praises and admiration the video has received undoubtedly belongs to Mike Crozier.
It took me one month for deliberation, production, prop preparation, almost two weeks of shooting, and 1,705 pieces of photos to finish the video.

Mother
Mothers are women who inhabit or perform the role of bearing some relation to their children, who may or may not be their biological offspring. Mother's Day
Mother's Day is a modern celebration honoring one's mother, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May. It complements similar celebrations honoring family members, such as Father's Day and Siblings Day.

Founding (United States)

Her campaign to make "Mother's Day" a recognized holiday in the United States began in 1905, the year her beloved mother, Ann Reeves Jarvis, died. A Mother's Prayer
A Mother's Prayer is a 1995 film made for the USA Network starring Linda Hamilton, in a Golden Globe-nominated performance, as a woman who learns she has contracted the AIDS virus and must make plans for the care of her only son. The film, which counts Kate Nelligan, S. Epatha Merkerson and Bruce Dern in its supporting cast, premiered on May 25, 1995. It was eventually expanded, given a PG-13 rating and released on VHS via MCA/Universal Home Entertainment in 1997.
Plot Overview
Rosemary Holmstrom is struggling to bring up her son following the death of her husband. When she is diagnosed with AIDS, at first she refuses to believe it, but soon turns her attentions to the problem of what will happen to her son when she dies.

Kimberly Michelle Pate (born March 4, 1982) better known by her stage name K. Michelle, is an American singer, songwriter, television personality, guitarist and pianist. In 2009, She was noted when she signed a deal with Jive Records and released the R&B charting single "Fakin' It" featuring Missy Elliott. She later went on to release three follow-up R&B charting singles: "Fallin'", "I Just Can't Do This", and "How Many Times" before leaving Jive Records. In 2012, K. Michelle garnered further attention by appearing in the VH1 reality series Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.
Following her appearance on the show, she landed a contract deal with Atlantic Records. She released her long-delayed debut studio album Rebellious Soul on August 13, 2013. Every cup of coffee contains its own soul, extracted from your feeling today.every cup of coffee is like a magic show containing different journey and bringing the unending imagination and surprises.With a sip of coffee, you not only taste your own story, but also change your perspective of the world. ------ it's my first time try to make a stop-motion animation. I used to be a senior student majoring in commercial design who had no interest whatsoever in animation. However, last summer I saw a amazing work "SNASK" (http://vimeo.com/10435821) , which awakened in me a huge interest in Stop-Motion. This was also my very first encounter towards videos. Indeed, "Coffee Time" was adapted from Mike Crozier's animation "SNASK", I used that as a template for my own first practice video made with stop-motion. I tried to recreate the effects from "SNASK" (http://vimeo.com/10435821) , and I learned so much from this process. At the end of the video, I mixed in an animation containing my personal favorite coffee elements. It's not apply to any commercial act. It only served as my first practice of stop-motion, and I show great appreciation and respect for Mike Crozier. The original producer was notified prior to the publishing of the video. My initial intention was to humbly share my practicing result with relatives and friends. But now the consequence was totally out of my expectation. I am greatly honored by all the feedback and encouragement, which I am deeply appreciative of. I hope that everyone can put more emphasis on the processing. For me, a heart-touching film is like a good mentor, exerting much influence. And "SNASK" is just like a mother to me, bearing the interests for stop-motion, and inspiring me with the motive of learning. All the praises and admiration the video has received undoubtedly belongs to Mike Crozier. I know that many of you have been waiting to see this video. And I adore this couple they are just the sweetest! This video took us a while to edit. This was a BEAR of a lipoma... Initially I thought it maybe, just maybe would pop out almost whole... But it wasn't meant to be - too many fibrous connections keeping it attached to him. Watch part two to see how it all turned out, but Part 2 is more graphic than Part 1. I decided to divide it this way so those of you that prefer to avoid the graphic details of surgery will be spared. We set out on an adventure on foot together with a young man to find out more about the native flora and fauna of different Latin-American landscapes. On the way, this young man discovers new plants and animals and becomes one with them, and meets a sexy Mother Earth goddess (Pachamama) with whom he falls in love. I know that many of you have been waiting to see this video.
And I adore this couple they are just the sweetest! This video took us a while to edit. This was a BEAR of a lipoma... Initially I thought it maybe, just maybe would pop out almost whole... But it wasn't meant to be - too many fibrous connections keeping it attached to him.
Watch part two to see how it all turned out, but Part 2 is more graphic than Part 1. I decided to divide it this way so those of you that prefer to avoid the graphic details of surgery will be spared. However, at the end of Part 2 you can see what the area looks like about a month after the procedure. You may want to check that out!
Needless to say, this was a very frustrating surgery, I didn't want to create a scar line that spanned his entire upper back but I wanted to reduce the size of this lipoma as much as possible and as safely as possible. I didn't get the area completely flat, but it does look much better and most importantly, I believe the patient is pleased. He sent me a pic and the nicest message about a month after this surgery when he was back at home, I think in London, or it looks more like Jamaica to me! He said that he is doing well, and the only thing he misses about his lipoma was his "built-in pillow", but he uses his wife for that now... ;)

it's my first time try to make a stop-motion animation.
I used to be a senior student majoring in commercial design who had no interest whatsoever in animation. However, last summer I saw a amazing work "SNASK" (http://vimeo.com/10435821) , which awakened in me a huge interest in Stop-Motion. This was also my very first encounter towards videos.
Indeed, "Coffee Time" was adapted from Mike Crozier's animation "SNASK", I used that as a template for my own first practice video made with stop-motion. I tried to recreate the effects from "SNASK" (http://vimeo.com/10435821) , and I learned so much from this process. At the end of the video, I mixed in an animation containing my personal favorite coffee elements.
It's not apply to any commercial act. It only served as my first practice of stop-motion, and I show great appreciation and respect for Mike Crozier. The original producer was notified prior to the publishing of the video. My initial intention was to humbly share my practicing result with relatives and friends. But now the consequence was totally out of my expectation. I am greatly honored by all the feedback and encouragement, which I am deeply appreciative of.
I hope that everyone can put more emphasis on the processing. For me, a heart-touching film is like a good mentor, exerting much influence. And "SNASK" is just like a mother to me, bearing the interests for stop-motion, and inspiring me with the motive of learning. All the praises and admiration the video has received undoubtedly belongs to Mike Crozier.
It took me one month for deliberation, production, prop preparation, almost two weeks of shooting, and 1,705 pieces of photos to finish the video.

This is my graduate film from IADT National Film School.. Its a bit of a mix of stop-motion, live action and hand drawn animation, shot in my attic on a Cannon EOS 5D, Cannon 450D and a 7D too (basically any camera i could borrow from friends and siblings). i hope you like it!

This is my graduate film from IADT National Film School.. Its a bit of a mix of stop-motion, live action and hand drawn animation, shot in my attic on a Cannon EOS 5D, Cannon 450D and a 7D too (basically any camera i could borrow from friends and siblings). i hope you like it!

We set out on an adventure on foot together with a young man to find out more about the native flora and fauna of different Latin-American landscapes. On the way, this young man discovers new plants and animals and becomes one with them, and meets a sexy Mother Earth goddess (Pachamama) with whom he falls in love.
This music video is part of the ambitious show and the upcoming Latin-American tour of the Argentinian band Poncho. We were asked to collaborate on this project by our friend Tomi Dieguez, the creative soul of Punga (www.punga.tv) and responsible of Poncho’s image. His idea consisted in inviting the best studios/directors in Argentina to direct a video each. This way he managed to achieve a visual mega show and some extraordinary music videos all at once. At Plenty we put all our love into the project and enjoyed the creative process very much thanks to the complete freedom Tomi and the band gave us. Let the journey begin!

burn is honoured and excited to announce 'Alive', featuring the burn units, a rider-led initiative headed by the legendary Austrian snowboarder Gigi Rüf, star of many a Pirate Movie Production and hands-down one of the most stylish riders on the planet. In 'Alive' Gigi is joined by fellow burn units riders Norwegian freestyle prodigy Ståle Sandbech and ultra-smooth French sensation Arthur Longo.
Filmed on location in Vorarlberg, Austria at Gigi's uncle's cabin last December, this was one of the most ambitious projects yet undertaken in snowboard filmmaking: shooting backcountry action by electric light and moonlight. As Director Per-Hampus Stålhandske put it, "there are so many things that can go wrong when you make a snowboard film: the weather, the snow, the light, the riders... adding darkness and studio lights to the mix was a huge risk, but mother nature was with us every step of the way. An amazing experience."

I took more than 7100 photos in more than 730 hours (using Canon 5D Mark II)

Adding more details according to questions I've been recieving:
It was shot in a homemade "studio" that I made in a cabinet. I covered the back of the cabinet with black cloth, the flower was placed in the middle, and the whole cabinet was then covered with another cloth to insulate from the daylight (to keep the light constant, which is the most important). Two led lamps were used to illuminate the flowers.
Some flowers bloomed in hours, some in few days.. therefore the interval between photos varies from few seconds to several minutes depending on the type of flower.. after several missed tries you'll learn ;)
In order to keep ISO as low as possible (couldn't go lower than 640 because of low light), the shutter speed was usually 1/5 s at f16.
All flowers are mine or from my mother's garden :)

A Mother of a Lipoma Part One
I know that many of you have been waiting to see this video. And I adore this couple they are just the sweetest! This video took us a while to edit. This was a BEAR of a lipoma... Initially I thought it maybe, just maybe would pop out almost whole... But it wasn't meant to be - too many fibrous connections keeping it attached to him. Adding more details according to questions I've been recieving: It was shot in a homemade "studio" that I made in a cabinet. I covered the back of the cabinet with black cloth, the flower was placed in the middle, and the whole cabinet was then covered with another cloth to insulate from the daylight (to keep the light constant, which is the most important). I know that many of you have been waiting to see this video.
And I adore this couple they are just the sweetest! This video took us a while to edit. This was a BEAR of a lipoma... Initially I thought it maybe, just maybe would pop out almost whole... But it wasn't meant to be - too many fibrous connections keeping it attached to him.
Watch part two to see how it all turned out, but Part 2 is more graphic than Part 1. I decided to divide it this way so those of you that prefer to avoid the graphic details of surgery will be spared. However, at the end of Part 2 you can see what the area looks like about a month after the procedure. You may want to check that out!
Needless to say, this was a very frustrating surgery, I didn't want to create a scar line that spanned his entire upper back but I wanted to reduce the size of this lipoma as much as possible and as safely as possible. I didn't get the area completely flat, but it does look much better and most importantly, I believe the patient is pleased. He sent me a pic and the nicest message about a month after this surgery when he was back at home, I think in London, or it looks more like Jamaica to me! He said that he is doing well, and the only thing he misses about his lipoma was his "built-in pillow", but he uses his wife for that now... ;)

it's my first time try to make a stop-motion animation.
I used to be a senior student majoring in commercial design who had no interest whatsoever in animation. However, last summer I saw a amazing work "SNASK" (http://vimeo.com/10435821) , which awakened in me a huge interest in Stop-Motion. This was also my very first encounter towards videos.
Indeed, "Coffee Time" was adapted from Mike Crozier's animation "SNASK", I used that as a template for my own first practice video made with stop-motion. I tried to recreate the effects from "SNASK" (http://vimeo.com/10435821) , and I learned so much from this process. At the end of the video, I mixed in an animation containing my personal favorite coffee elements.
It's not apply to any commercial act. It only served as my first practice of stop-motion, and I show great appreciation and respect for Mike Crozier. The original producer was notified prior to the publishing of the video. My initial intention was to humbly share my practicing result with relatives and friends. But now the consequence was totally out of my expectation. I am greatly honored by all the feedback and encouragement, which I am deeply appreciative of.
I hope that everyone can put more emphasis on the processing. For me, a heart-touching film is like a good mentor, exerting much influence. And "SNASK" is just like a mother to me, bearing the interests for stop-motion, and inspiring me with the motive of learning. All the praises and admiration the video has received undoubtedly belongs to Mike Crozier.
It took me one month for deliberation, production, prop preparation, almost two weeks of shooting, and 1,705 pieces of photos to finish the video.

This is my graduate film from IADT National Film School.. Its a bit of a mix of stop-motion, live action and hand drawn animation, shot in my attic on a Cannon EOS 5D, Cannon 450D and a 7D too (basically any camera i could borrow from friends and siblings). i hope you like it!

We set out on an adventure on foot together with a young man to find out more about the native flora and fauna of different Latin-American landscapes. On the way, this young man discovers new plants and animals and becomes one with them, and meets a sexy Mother Earth goddess (Pachamama) with whom he falls in love.
This music video is part of the ambitious show and the upcoming Latin-American tour of the Argentinian band Poncho. We were asked to collaborate on this project by our friend Tomi Dieguez, the creative soul of Punga (www.punga.tv) and responsible of Poncho’s image. His idea consisted in inviting the best studios/directors in Argentina to direct a video each. This way he managed to achieve a visual mega show and some extraordinary music videos all at once. At Plenty we put all our love into the project and enjoyed the creative process very much thanks to the complete freedom Tomi and the band gave us. Let the journey begin!

burn is honoured and excited to announce 'Alive', featuring the burn units, a rider-led initiative headed by the legendary Austrian snowboarder Gigi Rüf, star of many a Pirate Movie Production and hands-down one of the most stylish riders on the planet. In 'Alive' Gigi is joined by fellow burn units riders Norwegian freestyle prodigy Ståle Sandbech and ultra-smooth French sensation Arthur Longo.
Filmed on location in Vorarlberg, Austria at Gigi's uncle's cabin last December, this was one of the most ambitious projects yet undertaken in snowboard filmmaking: shooting backcountry action by electric light and moonlight. As Director Per-Hampus Stålhandske put it, "there are so many things that can go wrong when you make a snowboard film: the weather, the snow, the light, the riders... adding darkness and studio lights to the mix was a huge risk, but mother nature was with us every step of the way. An amazing experience."

I took more than 7100 photos in more than 730 hours (using Canon 5D Mark II)
It is my first timelapse, hope you'll enjoy it :)

The music is called Arrival of the Birds by The Cinematic Orchestra... amazing music, my favorite..
Adding more details according to questions I've been recieving:
It was shot in a homemade "studio" that I made in a cabinet. I covered the back of the cabinet with black cloth, the flower was placed in the middle, and the whole cabinet was then covered with another cloth to insulate from the daylight (to keep the light constant, which is the most important). Two led lamps were used to illuminate the flowers.
Some flowers bloomed in hours, some in few days.. therefore the interval between photos varies from few seconds to several minutes depending on the type of flower.. after several missed tries you'll learn ;)
In order to keep ISO as low as possible (couldn't go lower than 640 because of low light), the shutter speed was usually 1/5 s at f16.
All flowers are mine or from my mother's garden :)
